Ondo NURTW Chairman, Idajo, arrested

The Chairman of the National Union of Road Transports Workers (NURTW) in Ondo State, Jacob Adebo, popularly known as ‘Idajo’, was on Friday arrested and taken to Lagos by the operatives of the Nigeria Police from Force Headquarters Annex, Alagbon, Lagos.

A source said his arrest was not unconnected with his alleged violent role played recently in the Lawmakers’ crisis rocking the state and other several petitions against him.

It was earlier reported that sixteen aggrieved lawmakers of the Ondo State House of Assembly had recently petitioned the Inspector General of Police over the attack allegedly led by Idajo in November 9 on the Assembly.

In the petition, the lawmakers had explained how Idajo and his cohorts beat up members of the Assembly and also destroyed properties worth millions of Naira in the Assembly complex.
