A renowned clergyman, Pastor Bunmi Babatunde has said being a minister of God might be the toughest job on earth, saying a true minister of God must be able to manage the people the Lord put in his care irrespective of their social differences and mixed characters.

The founder and senior assembly pastor of Christ Apostolic Church, Chapel of Testimony, 1, Dawodu lane, Ilogbo Bus Stop off Apapa Road, Oyingbo, Lagos said this on Sunday in his vote of thanks at the thanksgiving service for the 20th anniversary of the church.

While appreciating God over the lives of members of the church both at home and in diaspora, Pastor Babatunde said the 20 years of divine journey would not have been made possible without the cooperation of Godly members starting from the pulpit to the pew, in their different departments and units of the church.

According to him, “being a minister of God may be the toughest job on earth. Unlike in the secular world where you can hire and fire when your employee errs, God’s ministry is not so.

“With the help of Holy Spirit, a minister of God must be able to manage the people God put in his care because none of them must get lost”

Earlier in his welcome address, Bunmi Babatunde said CAC Chapel of Testimony had lived up to her name in the past 20 years by God’s guiding and amazing grace.

The address read in part:

“We have been in historical motions and movements under the heavy influence of Holy Ghost guidance. The patches of our motions and movements have formed a beautiful tapestry of Testimonies. From a friend’s compound in Obanikoro area to a member’s one room apartment, to a rented open land space at Costain bus stop to another rented open space at Shonola Street off Apapa road; it was a similitude of the Israelites’ journey through the wilderness.”

In his testimony to God’s faithfulness over the Chapel of Testimony which shares just a common fence with the headquarters of a traditional shrine in Lagos, the man of God said the God Almighty, who led them to the location of the rationalists for a purpose, had never forsaken them.

“The sheer sight of the church building sharing a fence with a major traditional shrine in Lagos was a put-off; but we were left with no choice. It soon dawned on us that the Lord had raid-roaded us here for a purpose.

“Though the battle has been very tough, but we are overcoming. Though the hosts of darkness have often regrouped sooner as scattered, yet, they have been massively neutralised.”, he said.

The 20th anniversary Thanksgiving service came after a five-day outdoor crusade themed ‘The Almighty God’ which commenced on Monday December 3, 2018.

The crusade, which was well attended by people from all walks of life, featured anointed men of God and gospel song minsters including the District Coordinating Council (DCC) Superintendent, Pastor Anu Ojo from CAC Vineyard of Mercy, Sabo—Yaba, Lagos; the Assistant Coordinator of CAC Youth Fellowship (CACYOF), Akinyele Region, Pastor I. D. O Akinpelu.

Others were Lady Evang. Tope Alabi, Sister Yinka Alaseyori, Evang. Tope Olutokun, Elijah Akintunde of ‘Voice of Elijah’ and Pastor Ben Okom.

The 20th anniversary of the CAC Chapel of Testimony produced many converts to whom Holy Bible, in their choice languages, were presented.
